# Hi people just a plain simple question, this is my mums syngonium…

_Publié par Drew le 2024-05-30_

Hi people just a plain simple question, this is my mums syngonium she’s had a while but all the new leaves that pop out are somewhat different to each other (like any kind of plant really) but this is kind of in the sense of variegation, from afar all leaves appear the same, I don’t know if it’s due to her placement in the sun or what, just wondering if anyone knows?

I can only guess that variegations is dependent on the amount of sunlight, fertilizer, and chemicals in the water and soil. I have several white butterfly syngoniums in different places on my covered patio. The large plant on the left gets a lot more morning light than the small one on the right. So, the large one has more dark areas on its leaves.

I agree. I have several that I propped from the same mother plant and placed in different parts of my house and each one looks different.

Thank you. They have self propagated around my pool equipment. The large pot is made up of several plants I dug out like weeds. I fertilize twice a month and water when they droop. 😁
