Hi, this happens to leaves with large white variegation as there’s no chlorophyll in the whites so they can’t photosynthesise and rely on the green parts to do it. They often turn brown as a result. It can be hastened by the plant experiencing stress. You may be able to slow things down by supplementing the light with a grow light. Good luck!!

I’m guessing this is what I need for my strawberry shake, which looks amazing until all the leaves get big brown spots. 😞

I second the silica suggestion. It really does help. I use it on all my plants now.
