Okay I’m really wanting to up my houseplant game from a couple that I’ve been barely looking after to jungle.

I’ve currently got two Peace Lilly’s and a Bird of Paradise doing really well!!

I’m looking for recommendations for other houseplants I can get. I love plants with lots of leaves and for the moment not to hard to look after.
My room where I’d be putting them gets tonnes of sunlight in the afternoon / sunset

Side note I’d like a couple in my bathroom but my bathroom doesn’t have a window so doesn’t really have much natural light in there unless the doors open. Any recommendations for plants that would work in there would be great.

Thanks :)

Pothos or a ZZ plant - pothos can climb or trail, and ZZ’s can get some big leaves and spread wide. Even though ZZ’s are marketed as low light tolerant they will thrive with bright indirect light!

My absolute favourite for lots of leaves and easy to take care of is the pothos. They’re a beautiful vine and are hardy! Plus there’s so many different colours to chose from! It could survive in your bathroom but it can’t survive in complete darkness, but you could always fix that by adding a plant grow light on a timer.

I feel like you’d love a pothos and the pothos would love the humidity!

I would also recommend the pothos as they are easy beautiful plants that grow in vines so can get rather large but still be manageable and maintainable.
I don’t know about ZZ PLANTS yet as I just bought one myself.
You might enjoy a nice Peace Lily as well.

If you’re looking to make your place a jungle, invest in a monstera deliciosa. I admit they are not as easy as everyone says and can be dramatic…(sometimes) , But they are a really great option and they are mostly very fast growers . I agree you could put a ZZ plant or a pothos in your bathroom but just because the plants can live in low light doesn’t mean they thrive (like what whit\_Y said)

I would recommend getting a grow light for your bathroom!

I love keeping a money tree and bamboo! I keep my bamboo in leca and water and she thrives in the sun. Snake plants and spider plants are also great and easy. Cactuses and succulents would also be great additions.
