The newest leaf is huge!! And split (I don’t know the name of the holes) so perfectly!! The prior leaf didn’t have any, and the one before only had 1. The smaller leaves are from how I bought it. What causes or helps that happen?
It’s doing so good!! Should I put it in a bigger pot?

It looks great! Fenestration happens with age, I believe care can affect it as well, she must be liking her setup.

I am not a pro by any means when it comes to monstera but I feel like you could wait a bit longer to repot.

This is all completely right. And the best way to encourage a monstera to fenestrate with its care is to give it lots of light. And also, make sure you’re only watering when it’s almost completely dry, since they are very prone to root rot.

Second all of this info here lol, they like to be pretty root bound before a repot, also moss poles are supposed to encourage bigger leaves and more fenestrations. Happy growing ! 😇

1000% support all above. Fenestrations/pinnations come from bright light. Larger size comes from physical support. If the plant attaches to a physical support (like plant or moss pole) and you also give good light then you get big, well-fenestrated leaves

Beautiful! The word is fenestration, like others said. Nerd fact: it comes from the Latin word for window: “fenestra.” It shares that root word with another English word, “defenestrate,” which means to throw something out a window 😂 🪟💨

And more fun facts, it fenestrates, or creates these windows to allow light down to the leaves below them as they grow up a tree towards the top of the canopy. Sharing that sunlight love!

Aw! Sharing sunlight is caring ☺️
