# I’ve been seeing the plant conventions showing up on my socials now…

I’ve been seeing the plant conventions showing up on my socials now that I’m a plant mom. ❤️  
Has anyone been to Plant Con or other similar plant conventions? There’s one coming close to my city and want to know any tips, tricks or things to look out for?

I haven’t been to anything as big as plantcon. Just local plant shows. I’d do a sweep thru first. Then go back for what you plan to purchase ( if there is only one left on your sweep thru, of course you have to get it then). I took reusable shopping bags. I saw some people w large plants in boxes. Idk if they were provided by the seller or people brought them

Jr mentioned boxes, if you or someone you know shops at Costco you can get boxes and I would definitely keep a box in the car in case you decide to make purchases.

Make your plant or plant supplies wish list before going. Things like varieties not easily found at hardware stores, specific moss poles, supplemental light, substrate, pots, etc.

If you have access to a vendors list you can look up the vendors and see what inventory they have as well.

Also, give yourself a budget and survey your home/garden for potential places to put your new plants after they are quarantined/repotted when they come home. I came across a plant vendor at the county fair and came home with 5 new plants and no plan for where anything was going to live 😵‍💫
