# Hi all, i was gifted this peace lily, well more given as a last hope…

Hi all, i was gifted this peace lily, well more given as a last hope to keep it alive. Before it was given to me they had left it in their car all day where im assuming it got burnt or something. I took it in maybe two weeks ago and since then ive seen 5 new blooms! i trimmed the black leaves off. should i do anything else with her?

I'd just keep an eye on more black with yellow halo spots. And if you see any, treat with a fungicide. You may want to treat a few times just as a precaution. The yellowing pattern is giving over watered/led to fungal issue

interesting, the woman who gave it to me said it was fine until she left it in her car all day. I havent seen anymore spots or anything. the day i got her she was so sad a droopy i watered her and the next morning she looked so perky.

Gotcha. Yellow halo with brown portions is almost always fungal overgrowth, unless its bacterial. And i said overwatering. Because the pictures showed it concentrated around the edges, where the leaves guttate primarily from

I have similarly burnt mine when forgot it outside. Unsightly and awkward for a while, while new leaves grew in, but no permanent harm.

okay thanks, that might be similar to mine! she seems fine with all the new blooms
