# Money tree (Pachira Aquatica) cuttings: I cut off some cutting more…

Money tree (Pachira Aquatica) cuttings:  
I cut off some cutting more than a month ago, and one is finally growing roots!!!! So excited. I had them in water to start but switched to vermiculite last week and water with the water from our fish tank. I’m hoping the others root as well since the change.

Those are some good lookin roots! You might have trouble getting them out 😅 But I think vermiculite is really fine, right? So maybe you can pour some out and the manipulate the roots easier. I haven’t worked with vermiculite yet. I’m trying to tell myself I don’t need ANOTHER growing medium for my collection of random soil amendments 😂

I was experimenting with it, because the water wasn’t working and looked like it was on verge of rotting. I really like the vermiculite, but need to be more vigilant in order to keep the vermiculite moist.  
I know what you mean…. I have purchased so many soil amendments lately 🤪
