Hi! I’m taking care of a plant that wasn’t cared for very well by the previous owner and I was wondering if someone could help? It’s recovering amazingly (it was almost fully brown when I got it) but I was wondering if there is anything else I should do? I’ve been watering it and opening my window and putting it on the windowsill but that’s about it. Anything else I should do?

You’re doing a great job. This is a syngonium, not a Peperomia, so I’d update that in planta to keep things as accurate as possible.

Especially while it’s recovering, I think the windowsill is a smart call. Give it as much bright indirect light as possible to help it replace all the leaves it’s lost. I would also remove any mostly-brown leaves, especially if they look particularly pale.

Thank you so much for the info! I’ll update the plant type right away!

Can’t tell for sure but it looks like this may be an allusion syngonium, which is a line marked by pink veining and a more compact growth habit. The smaller bottom leaves might benefit from removal of damaged higher growth that can block light from getting to them.

I would remove the crispy leaves..they won’t recover..let the plant focus on the healthy leaves and new growth..

I know this is a bit later, but as it’s recovering, it is actually starting to look like an allusion syngonium! We also have two new leaves that have come up. Thanks Kendall for giving me the info! Don’t know what would have happened if not. I might have over or underwatered it if I kept to the incorrect plant type!
