# My Peru Monstera sadly perished almost a year ago, I had 2 small…

My Peru Monstera sadly perished almost a year ago, I had 2 small cuttings that I really neglected but I just walked by and saw one has sprouted a little root and leaf 🥹 I’m scared to pot it or even change the water! Thoughts?

I would say change the water and wait till there are secondary roots, so that it has a better chance to thrive in soil!

Yes change the water, definitely needs to have fresh water every few days for aeration content, but do not pot it until it has a much stronger root structure. Add rooting drops/hormone is you have some.

Thank you! Water changed! It was such a surprise to see because I’ve had these cuttings for so long with no activity and bam!
