# Went to a local nursery to get some plants for my mom… and ended up…

_Posted by abitofbrit on 2026-05-11_

Went to a local nursery to get some plants for my mom… and ended up buying a bunch for me too. 🫣 I swear, I need a shock collar or something to keep me from buying plants for myself. Haha… but look at these begonias!!!!!!!! They’re huge! 😍 Also got a couple of alocasias, a philodendron, two peperomias, and ivy with really cool variegation! 😁

Same!! 😍 They had a couple of other massive ones there and I’m seriously contemplating going back tomorrow to get them. 😂

I know NOTHING about begonias, so excuse me if this is obvious, what is the name of Ms. Spiral in the top left corner of the tray

#### abitofbrit replied on 2026-05-11

Definitely not an obvious answer! I had to look it up, as well. ☺️ (Both were marked as “assorted begonia rex.”) With a lot of begonias, there can be multiple names for the same variety – just depends on the nursery that named it. When searching, I found the IDs “Paso Doble” and “Christmas Curl,” but I posted this on FB, and someone said it’s a “Macarena.” Here’s a side-by-side. 😆

Oh wow! I'm going to need a Christmas curl in my life soon! Where did you find yours at?

#### abitofbrit replied on 2026-05-11

Found it at a local nursery called Pike. They’re based in GA, but they have a couple of locations in NC. ☺️

I'm going to have to add this to my wish list! TY for sharing!
