# hey friends! looking for some help about distinguishing different…

hey friends! looking for some help about distinguishing different light levels. i have an east facing window that gets lots of direct sun in the morning and i have a west facing window that gets lots of direct sun in the afternoon. while they both get about 6 hrs of direct sunlight, the afternoon sun is obviously much hotter/intense. would i classify both of these sites as “direct light” or one of them as “indirect light”? i’m probably getting a little caught up in the specifics, but i just wanna make the best choices for my little plant babies 🌿🌵🌱

If you’re putting your plants directly into the window then it would be direct sunlight. If you put them farther away but still in a bright spot where the suns reflection touches them, that would be bright indirect light

so if i put a plant in the window sill on either window, it could/would be considered to be sitting in direct light?
