Hi folks! Firstly, I received a new succulent today (which I would like help identifying!) that was propagated by someone else, and another person asked me to try to propagate their succulent. They gave me leaves that had fallen off and placed them in the dirt. Will this work? Secondly, my spider plant that I’ve had for a few months and has grown beautifully has brown tips. I moved it from the window, but it was never in direct sunlight because I’m in a basement. Any advice is much appreciated.

The plants appears to be some kind of Echeveria but I can’t venture a guess as the the specific species. They are super easy to propagate and they don’t even need to be “in” the soil. Just place them “on” the soil and they should send roots down searching for moisture.

I have a Topsy Turvy Echeveria that dropped a leaf and I left in in the pot and it grew a whole new plant (but VERY tiny…less than 1 inch long).
