Any idea what’s going on with my Hoya sweetheart plant? The leaves are very droopy and shriveled and it has white spots. It’s this saveable?

Aw sorry your plant isn’t doing well. I would check for root rot. Since this kind of Hoya can usually hold water for a long time and still stay plump, seeing one this shriveled makes me think there something keeping it from taking up water from the roots

I think the white spots are normal pattern, usually called “splash” when it comes to Hoyas

Those white spots are not “splash”. Can you describe them more? Are they raised? Do they easily come off? If you take a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol, does the q-tip turn brown where it touched the spot? And I agree that there must be a problem with the roots. Your Kerii looks too dry. You may want to check the roots and make sure they are plump white, not hair-like. Tug gently and make sure the root’s sheath does not come off. If it does then you have root rot (which would appear to be from under watering).

You can try chop \& prop to save the plant if the roots are shot. It may or may not work since the plant is not healthy at this time.

Oh shoot I did not zoom in enough 😅 Yeah, mealies could be the problem here

White spots seem too be mealy bugs, with enough of them the plant will go limp,yellow/loose color and die

There’s some prophylactic things you can do to keep bugs from attacking your plants. I use systemic insecticidal granules in my soil as a matter of routine. I hope your plant recovers! Kerrii’s are so cute!

I spray 70% alcohol on the leaves to kill the mealy bugs, and then rinse it off. I hate them!!!! I hope your kerii recovers soon 🙏 I think you have a good chance since the leaves are so easy to clean off. I would definitely change the soil entirely and give the roots a good cleaning with insecticidal soap. You probably have mealy bugs there as well

This is good advice!
