Thinking about getting a orchid but I live in the California mountains. Should I put it in my bathroom where it will most likely have good humidity?

As long as there is a good window that could work. They like a lot of sun. Mine is in a west window… but I’m in northern Ohio so super cloudy most of the year. If you put the orchid pot with holes into a cover pot it will help the roots to retain moisture.

You could do a humidity tray, put it near a humidifier, water more often, or use extra sphagnum in the bark mix if it doesn't get enough moisture from regular watering. Or some orchids can do semi-hydro care
