# I think I’m doing something wrong. I’m not sure why this app is…

I think I’m doing something wrong. I’m not sure why this app is telling me to water or fertilize my plants. I’m in Cincinnati Ohio I have 4 inches of snow on the ground and the temp is going down to 15. I noticed that the app knows where I’m at and knows the temperature. Just not sure why it keeps telling me to do certain things when the growing season is over.

For some plants you still fertilize in the ❄️

I fertilize through winter but I keep my lights on for 12hrs so I can simulate spring photoperiod year round. 🤭

I still fertilize through the winter. As far as watering, some need even more frequent watering because the heat is on. Use the app as a guide but always check the soil first. 😊

Did you set up the site in the app the tell it your plants are outside covered in snow? It will still treat your indoors plants as being in a warm indoor environment. Your plant will need water and sometimes fertilizer if it’s indoors.🪴🍀

Omgsh this!!!! It'll be dumping rain for a week and Planta is like "wAteR yOuR pLanTs" and I'm like bruh 🙃
