I am doing the same! I’ve had it over a month and it’s still alive so we will see 🤷🏻‍♀️

congrats on your baby! it will still grow tall with love! mine started out short and it’s on the ground about four feet now! brown spots can indicate inconsistent watering which i find when the nurseries don’t truly have someone who knows the plants. good luck!

Thank you!! It had the spots when I got it but the leaves just seem so much darker I was hoping I didn’t buy a dying one that I can’t save!

Is it best to let them dry out completely during winter? I’ve read conflicting info on this..

i water mine every two weeks or more, definitely let it dry out before getting a consistent schedule

mine prefers to dry out, but i never wait until it droops.
