# Hi all, does anyone have an idea of what this plant is? I inherited…

Hi all, does anyone have an idea of what this plant is? I inherited from an ex-housemate, and google reverse image search suggested it was a citrus (reaffirmed by my green fingered boyfriend). However, as it’s been thriving and growing, these thorn-like things have appeared (see second photo) which has baffled us. It doesn’t look like a rose… any thoughts? Thanks!

Yes, definitely a citrus tree, it’s normal for them to develop those thorns

Citrus. Possibly a lemon or grapefruit. Crushing a part of a leaf will give off a citrusy scent.
