Tradescantia can be pretty high maintenance about water and lighting. From your pic it doesn’t seem like lighting is an issue, I wonder if it’s a watering issue then.

When/how do you usually water him? I try to water mine as soon as they dry out and/or start looking a bit droopy. Especially with my albo, I let him all-the-way dry out before I completely soak him. I do lose some crispy leaves here and there with my laissez faire attitude about watering but they’re so bushy it’s not really of any consequence.

I water it every 11 days (what this app tells me to do), but I think it might be lighting. It only gets direct sunlight when the sun is setting because I have a west facing window. I try to keep the area as bright as I can though, so I’m not sure?

don’t use this app’s watering recommendations. always check the soil to make sure it’s ready for more water. I use a chopstick. for tradescantia, they like to be watered when the top 75% of soil is dry. and they LOVE light too! so hold off on the watering a bit and add some more light and it should pull through. they’re pretty hardy.

I have the same issue. Like the previous poster said, mine seems to be full enough that losing leaves in the middle isn’t too much of an issue. It’s thinned out quite a bit, but still looks good.

It’s getting too much water. Let the plant dry out before watering again. There are a lot of cuttings in such a small pot. The soil will take longer to dry out. These plants like bright indirect light. Brighter light helps the plant use more water.
