TRANSITIONING FROM MOSS POLE TO STAKE:

Hi! I have a scindapsus exotica on a moss pole with live spaghum moss, and I’m looking to move it onto a different support stake, likely a pole out of tree fern fibre. (The leaves aren’t sizing up massively from the live moss so it’s not really worth it for me to keep it moisturised all the time!)

My question is - if I transfer it, will the aerial roots that’s grown in moss die, or will it be able to re-attach itself to the new stake? Any tips on how to get the latter done ASAP? One time I moved a philodendron from a coco coir moss pole to a spaghnum moss pole and the aerial roots wouldn’t latch on quickly and all died! Wondering how I do differently so it doesn’t happen again. Thanks in advance!!
