Okay Planta Experts, I need help! I purchased a 6” string of pearls from a seller across the country. The USPS lost my plant during the freeze here in TX 🤬
I finally got the plant today and there is significant freeze damage on the top of the plant. A lot of the top is going to die off because of it. What would you do to save the rest of this plant? Should I cut the healthy pearls off and try to propagate them? If so, what would be the best method for that. I am open to all and any wonderful suggestions, you plant people have!

I’d for sure leave it be for now and give it a month or two to acclimate to your environment. It’s already been through a huge shock. Once it’s acclimated or if you see it declining you can always take some cuttings and propagate which is SO easy with SOP. Just take cuttings that have nodes on them, remove the pearls around the node and you can either plug it into the prop pot soil and mist it OR you can even water prop these guys. Once you get the root going just plug it back into the soil. You can also propagate the pearls you remove, place them into soil and mist (let them callous for a few days first).

I actually take pearls that drop and just throw them on top of the soil of the main plant lol, sometimes they die but they root a lot too. Such cool and easy plants. He will come back for you one way or the other, don’t panic!

That’s great advice! I think I will just leave it alone for now and let it acclimate. Thanks for the response!

It still has a lot of good bright green on it! Mine froze in the unheated sunroom, so I gently removed any mushy/shriveled leaves.
But I agree to not do anything quite yet while the plant is getting used to its environment.
