# Does anyone have experience with their cat eating a couple leaves…

Does anyone have experience with their cat eating a couple leaves from a dracaena marginata? Both of my cats chewed on mine when I got distracted while watering and I just want to make sure they’re gonna be ok.

they should be just fine! a friend’s cats were chewing on their dragon tree (dracaena reflexa var. angustifolia) routinely for a while before they realized it was toxic, i think the worst that will happen in your case is some dizziness/wooziness and nausea, your cats might also yak up any whole leaves they ate.

Thank you! This helps ease my anxiety.

i’m sure they’re probably fine! as others said, it’ll probably be some vomiting at most. if they do vomit, take a picture so you can show to a vet if they end up getting sick. they’ll want to see what it looks like. but i’m sure everything will be just fine :)
