Hey everyone! New plant parent to a beautiful Alocasia Polly and Monstera Deliciosa. Do yall have any tricks to keep them happy and healthy and growing? The only thing that is concerning me a bit are the brown areas on the stem of my Monstera? Is that an issue?

Hey! I can give some tips on the monstera! So they like a nice chunky, well draining soil! Is that miss on the top I see there? They like to completely dry out in between watering and hate sitting in water, this causes root rot for most plants and will kill then if left long enough. So be sure to use a moisture meter. They like a good bit of humidity so give them a spray or a little shower with lukewarm water. They like a lot of fertiliser when they are growing so be sure to use that often too!! Hope this helps!!

Hi! So yes there is moss there! Good to know they like to dry out because my other plants like to dry out before watering too! Do you know if those brown spots near his stem are something to keep an eye out for or is it okay? For the misting aspect, how often should I mist him?
