Hiii! I just found out my plant is poisonous to dogs… Is my dog in danger just being around the plant or is it only poisonous for the animals to consume it?!

Pretty much all plants are only dangerous if eaten

Sometimes pollen from flowering plants can be bad for animals to breath in too but it just depends on the plant

Gotcha yeah my plant is a small gardenia I brought it inside cuz I was afraid it would’ve died thru the winter but not that it says it’s toxic kinda scares me a lil I know he won’t eat the plant but I just wanna make sure it’s safe to be inside.

I’d just watch him and move it to a new location if he starts to mess with it. I have all my plants on high shelves because my cats refuse to leave them alone
