Need help identifying a new plant I got (from Trader Joe’s). Is this an elephant ear? Or an alocasia? I’m new to plants and bought this labelled as “tropical plant”. Thanks!

So an Alocasia and an elephant ear and in simple terms the same thing. Alocasia is the genius and elephant ear is the species. Just a different kind. Does look like an elephant ear though!

Okay! Thanks sooo much for confirming! It’ll make it easier for me to look for care instructions :)
