# I got a polka dot begonia about two weeks ago; it was already watered…

I got a polka dot begonia about two weeks ago; it was already watered when i got it, so i waited a bit to water it again. It has already lost 2 leaves, and the rest isn’t looking too good :( i’m worried that it’ll get worse  
Am i doing anything wrong to cause this?

(It’s in a not getting sunlight directly, and the weather has been sooo gloomy lately)

I’m hoping someone will share their expertise with me.

Hi! I just got one too few weeks ago too! I’m no expert (still new and learning) and have been following Planta’s suggestion w/watering schedule (so hard to keep track and am always afraid of overwatering) but mine is in a much sunnier location (only about foot or two away from south facing window). I just think she needs more light. Good luck!! 🍀

If you think you’re giving them enough light, give them more. She is just shy of full Sun and is probably one of my best growers. Planta does great with the watering schedule, but light is definitely key

Your plant looks absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for the tip also! Now that I've moved my plant next to the window, it's time to wait and see (it was a bit of a sunny afternoon in Vancouver, luckily) If not i’ll make a post again 🙃

Err on the side of dry soil. Higher humidity. Bright indirect light.

The struggle is real. Sometimes I think these plants got us to work for them for free!
