Hi everyone, I am looking to add more plants to my place - specifically my bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom has no windows and is situated in a spot where no light from any nearby windows gets to. I’m wondering: what plants have worked for you in similar situations/conditions? I really want a plant in there but I keep seeing conflicting reports on what will do well in that spot. If you have any suggestions for plants and/or tips to help keep them happy in a no-window bathroom, I’d love to hear!

Even shade loving plants need light. A bathroom with no windows will need suplemental lighting, in my experience. I have used grow lights very successfully in that same situation. I leave them on during the night and put them away during the day, simply because I don’t like how the look 🙈

I would suggest getting a grow light for any bathroom that is without sufficient light. You can get grow lights in many sizes and within many price ranges.

I say get a grow light. There are many types. I use mostly bulbs in my plant room. Just pop them in lamps.

I use a USB grow light with a 20K Portable Battery Charger (no outlet where I have my plant). I have it set for 4 hours per day and I only have to recharge the battery once every two weeks. My Prayer plant loves the humidity and the 4 hours of light per day is perfect.
