Why is my snake plant growing like this? The smaller one wont grow!

Is this all one plant? Or is it 2 separate plants in the same pot?

The smaller one looks like a hahnii snake plants, or some other type that has a more nest/bowl-like growing pattern. In any case, if it’s not growing it likely needs more light. Snake plants will tolerate shady or darker areas but will thrive in bright, indirect light.
