I just got a small white bird of paradise. Does anyone have any tips or advice?

Mine hasn’t been the easiest to take care of, but what I’m learning after one year with this guy is- he really likes water, so be sure to check and treat for pests regularly, he wants your brightest window, give his leaves a weekly clean, keep humidity as high as you can.

I got one a self watering globe and she is doing better. They are hardy but finicky! I give it rain water, if I don't she pushes out the sediments (I find traces in the leaves) then starts to crack and brown.

These are one of my faves! They like humidity. I live in a dry state so I mist really regularly like every other day ish and keep her well hydrated. She doesn’t ever really stay completely dry for long and she sits in a bright window. She just pushed out a new leaf and I am in love!
