# I just got this cute cute Scheffalara a few days ago.. when I bought…

I just got this cute cute Scheffalara a few days ago.. when I bought it the lady said to place it near a vent because it likes a breeze, but I googled it and am getting conflicting information 😭 she’s right by the vent so it’s pretty drafty, l’m worried that it’s too much for the leaves. Should I move her or is this placement okay?

I would move it. I have one as well. It’s close but not that close to the vent.

A fan for air circulation may work better 🤷🏻‍♀️

They are pretty hardy. I wouldn’t worry too much. Just don’t overwater!

I have never seen one grow that straight before… don’t be surprised if it gets unpredictable and sends things out sideways. They are definitely one to rotate when you water and love being pruned back regularly. Avoid touching the sap though.

Disagree with putting near a vent in winter. They’re tropical and winter vents shoot out very dry air. A fan better but unnecessary
