HELP my plant is dying of something??
My plant, an Olympia False Aralia is dying. I googled its weird symptoms and apparently it’s something called dieback? All of its leaves are super dry even after watering it, it’s been like this for a week and I don’t know what to do since it’s been a really well adjusted plant so far.

False aralias, man…I tried to grow one twice. And this happened twice. It was fine, and then the edges of one leaf started to brown and within a week it was gone. Planta was no help. Maybe someone can save yours, and if so I would love to know how so I can try again.

This post was long ago. But for both aralia lovers here, I love my aralia. She’s very finicky and I have struggled to figure out her needs. Planta is usually wonderful, but in this case I fear planta is wrong. Aralias don’t like bring light or even lots of it, they crisp very easily. Not to mention these are one of the plants I have found likes moist soil. I mist my aralia almost every day, water her once a week, and she’s placed in a fairly shady spot. She looked horrible, brown and crispy but with her new conditions she’s slowly coming back!
