# Does anyone have any recommendations for easy to care for alocasias?…

Does anyone have any recommendations for easy to care for alocasias? If so what are its needs?  
I used to have an alocasia frydek but it got eaten by what I think was spider mites :(

Bummer. I was going to suggest a Frydek because I haven’t had too many issues. The only other alocasia I have is Amazonica x Polly but I like it. The spider mites are manageable

Okay, I might try with another frydek. I think the reason I couldn’t get rid of them quick enough was because it took a little too long to diagnose

I’ve basically just accepted that spider mites will never leave my collection lol. I manage them as best I can

Unfortunately Alocasia and easy aren’t usually used in the same sentence LOL, my fav Alocasia that I’ve had the best luck with is my pink dragon, got her from Trader Joe’s and she’s doing great. I do have her under a grow light and have a humidifier nearby which may be where most of my luck comes from lol
