These polka dot plants have been testing every ounce of my patience. (Not their fault, I just don’t know what I’m doing). They’re so finicky. Any tips???

they seem to just be really picky and stubborn, I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong in particular

I’m with PlantyAnn on this one, they are just divas to which I had no patience with. I chopped mine and propagated to see if it would root and if it does, I’m promptly giving it away! And it’s definitely their fault, haha. They are super finicky.

Polka dots LOVE to be leggy but will adapt if you chop of half way down their stem so they still have leaves and they will grow new stems. I suggest also rotating them so they can get light from all sides every week so they aren’t just facing one direction 24/7. And the leaves will die usually it’s bottom to top to make room for new growth and when the stems get quite bare at the bottom I like burrying them just a little bit further down with the stems so it doesn’t show too much bare mess but not enough for stem rot. I know people struggle a lot with this plant but I hope this helps!
