Well, in just a few days, the Bismarckia just plain keeled over. It stayed alive just long enough for me to buy it a very expensive pot and waste a lot of soil. Oh, well. Easy come, easy go.

I think for these somewhat more exotic plants, you gotta buy ‘em young and train ‘em up in the environment you got. So far the chambeyronia seems to be getting along just fine.
