# I have lost my mind.🤪 Rescued this one from Lowe’s. 🚑😷 So bone dry…

I have lost my mind.🤪  
Rescued this one from Lowe’s. 🚑😷  
So bone dry that I emptied my water bottle with flavored water into the pot. 🌵🐪🦂🏜️  
I was told there was no water by the Garden Staff on duty. 🤷🏽😠

I soaked it. Fertilized it. Hosed it down with Neem Oil.

And now we wait. ⏰⏱️⏲️⌚️⏳🕰️🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒🕞

WHY! Why! Why. ☹️

hope it pulls through! Lowe’s, like Home Depot, will take the plant back within 3 months with a receipt it doesn’t make it, FYI.

Hi there,

Even for CLEARANCE plants?  
In the Summer \& Winter, at the LOWES I go to, there is a far corner spot outdoors where they have a plant grave yard. They have a plant grave yard in the inside too during the Winter. That’s where I got this Alocasia from. The grave yard at 50% off.

Hi there,

I meant to post this post and photo yesterday.

I woke up yesterday morning and I did manage to take this photo of the poor thing. All rigid and chipper.

Still has (shhh) b u g s (little gnat here and there) but it gets a spritz of Neem Oil daily.

My problem are:  
1).  
\- Is it an Alocasia Frydek  
or  
\- Is it an Alocasia Micholitziana

2\) The app Planta gives me a “No Way. Not for you.” Not Recommended flag due to difficulty. Thoughts?

I sure hope Botanists are not making vaccines as a side job. 😒 They seem to be clueless on their own plant classifications and no better at distinguishing a maple leaf versus maple syrup. 🤣😂

Ok , dummy me found the card insert in the pot just now for this plant. According to LOWES, and the plant supplier COSTA FARMS, this is a Xanthosoma.

When I enter that into Planta I get no direct match BUT I scroll down and I see: Angels Wings, Caladium Lindenii.

I’m going with Angels Wings.

Thoughts?

Hmm wonder if it’s too late to get a Cher impersonator for tomorrow.

Family: Who’s that?  
Me: Duhh. She’s family Mom. Cher making sure you’re all vaccinated before everyone starts thinking they can be Cher’ing a story face to face, or Cher’ing a meal with people you have not seen in a while.

Cher: Hey Mr. John. Where again did you meet my agent and when? I’m gonna get them for this.

Me: Just like on Will and Grace. All you impersonators almost get it right. It’s “I’m gonna get them Whooaaaa.”  
Cher: Your Mom?  
Me: Yes. Barbara, Cher, Cher, Barbara.

Cher: Mom I hope the hospital paid you well when they dropped your boy on his head.  
Mom: Isn’t it “…dropped your boy on his head. Whooooaaa.”

Cher: I’m leaving out the back. Get vaccinated, get some family counseling, and snap out of it. SLAP!
