# Hello! I have a question, I’ve had this golden pothos for I think 2…

Hello! I have a question, I’ve had this golden pothos for I think 2 years, and it’s in the same pot it came in, and the same soil too. I’m kinda worried about checking out the roots to see what I have to work with once i get it a pot. Do you guys think I should check the roots out tomorrow?

Should repot asap. The soil is old. Also, I’m sure the roots are tightly in there. I usually repot after quarantine or repot then quarantine when I get new plants.
The soil usually isn’t good when you get new plants nor do you know how long it has been in the soil prior to you purchasing it.

Ok thank you! I will check the roots out and get it a new pot very soon. I def didn’t intend for it to stay in the same pot and soil for this long!

check the roots, for sure. if anything, it will need a little soil refresh. the nutrients in soil doesn’t usually last two years…

Yes you should! You should also change the soil, you’re supposed to change the soil once a year because the plant soaks up all of the nutrients in the soil.
