# I think I doomed my ghost plant 😭 Last week, I unpotted it to see…

I think I doomed my ghost plant 😭 Last week, I unpotted it to see how the roots were doing, which I now realize I should not have done because she was looking complete fine and nothing was wrong, I was just curious. Well I potted her back in the same soil and same pot and now she is looking really really sad. I don’t know what to do. I’m thinking more water because the bottom leaves are shriveling and mushy? My plan was to actually behead her and propogate her so she wouldn’t be so long but now I don’t think that is wise.
Honestly I really don’t want her to die, she was my first plant I’ve owned and the reason I decided to get more.

You know her better than we do, of course, so this is up to you. But my guess is that she is just stressed out because of being repotted, which is a very common response. I wouldn’t overwater because that will just worsen the problem, and I would do a little bit of research to see if leaves falling off of the bottom is normal for Ghost plants, because for some plants, it is normal for the oldest leaves to eventually fall off. I hope she survives and I wish you luck!!

Also, like I said, try not to overwater, but stick your finger in the top bit of the soil, and if she is dry to bone dry then definitely water!!
