# My ficus tineke’s newest leaf (about 2-3 weeks old!) is lookin a bit…

_Posted by Danny on 2023-10-23_

My ficus tineke’s newest leaf (about 2-3 weeks old!) is lookin a bit strange, and i can’t really figure out why! i’ve tried increasing the humidity with a humidifer, i don’t seem to see any pests, however i have recently moved its location to a brighter spot 2 days ago (it previously received about 800 lumens of light, it seemed like it needed more, increased to about 1,500, i worried the leaf was burning so i’ve now moved it again into a shadier area). however, even if it was burnt, prior to moving it the leaf still seemed to be an extremely different colour to the rest of the leaves \& wouldn’t harden. I also changed the soil 2 days ago to be a lot more draining.

My new leaf is a couple weeks old and doesn’t look the same either.

It’s quite common for the new leaf to take some time to reach the same color as the rest of the plant

Yes! If you like the coloring check out the Calathea fusion white, the variegated musa nono, the aglaonema pictum tricolor, syngonium three kings, and alocasia frydek variegated.

If you’re anything like me you’ll love them all!

RIGHT!? i was picking out the perfect tineke out of a couple dozen, and as soon as i laid eyes on that almost entirely white leaf, i knew she was the one! i just had to get her, no fuss, took that baby home asap 🥰🥰

Yess 🙌 Nothing like finding a unique plant that you just HAVE to take home 🤩
