# Oh the “joy” of houseplants. I successfully fought off spider mites…

Oh the “joy” of houseplants. I successfully fought off spider mites in many plants this summer. My monstera, while “ok” was showing signs of “something” else going on.

Today I drug her and BARELY managed to lift her into the tub. Gave her a shower, wiped all her leaves down, trimmed off lots of arial roots, and some leaves that had significant damage. Spotted at least three new leaves starting to poke out. Then went back in and and sprayed with Captain Jack Super Soap.

Send all the good vibes that I can rid her of the thrips I think started causing the damage.
