What I do is take the plant out of the pot and remove all the soil. Allow the roots, leaves, and bulb to dry in a warm and well ventilated location. This step will take a week or two. You want them to be dry so they don’t mold or rot during storage. Once dry, you can remove the stems and roots. Then store the bulbs somewhere dark and cool that won’t dip below 50f during the winter. I’ve stored mine in a paper bag, but some people put them back in their pot with dry perlite or peat. I’m not sure which is technically the best method, so you can research and decide for yourself, if you’d like. They should be good to go until spring when you can pot them back up and start the care schedule again
