Looking for affirmation and any other advice please.

The yellow centered leaf spawned the other sprouts.

I don’t know if a snake plant is supposed to die back once it creates new shoots. I Did not think it would.

Advice on what to do.  
I have a feeling that he is due for a new dirt upgrade.

Thoughts?

Is the yellow leaf mushy? Looks like it’s overwatered. How often are you watering it?

Hello. No not mushy. This little guy sits in a bedroom that has s ceiling fan that I believe is too big for the room. But the fan and installation were free so up it went.

The soil for several plants in this easterly facing back bedroom dries out rather quickly due to the constant down winds.

I have not transplanted it with new soil yet.

i have a snake plant as well and i’ve found that they definitely need more light than most advice that is given! also, they don’t need watered very often! another thing i do to help encourage better growth is wiping the leaves down with a wet paper towel :) but i’d definitely get this little guy some light and maybe less water from now on! good luck! 😁

He’s definitely getting transplanted today before i loose the rhizomes. And a sunnier spot.
