# Does this seem like enough light for a money tree? The windows there…

Does this seem like enough light for a money tree? The windows there face east but the yard is pretty shaded so the tree won’t get any direct sunlight.

The tree had been in a window getting lots of direct (west, sunset) sunlight … but it was also near a door and I think it didn’t like the cold draft from opening and closing the front door.

(That monstera in the corner is fake)

it will likely be happier if you switch it with the fake monstera, money trees (pachira aquatica) appreciate bright light

Got it. The fake monsters is by a vent and a door — how sensitive are they to draft?

very sensitive to draft unfortunately. especially ac/heat vents. if you have a spot near the window away from the draft that’ll likely be a better choice, if not i’d recommend looking into getting a grow light for the tree in its current placement
