I’m attempting to save this plant. Do you guys think I should keep it in water? From the prior leaf I believe it is a heart leaf philodendron. TIA!

Aw it’s so cute! I would suggest watering it once a week with maybe half a cup of water.

Otherwise I would research heart leaf philodendron and see how much nurseries call for

Thank you! I usually bottom water but I’m just worried it wasn’t really growing and didn’t seem to be any growth points.

top watering is great to flush out the soil. when you do water, make sure you water until the water comes out of the drain holes. don’t measure the amount of water.

it’s more likely to be an anthurium based on the growth pattern. philodendrons are vining plants

Here is a picture of it with its last leaf, my friend bought it and gave it to me like this. What kind of anthurium do you think it is? That could explain a lot about the characteristics. I’ve never had one!

Agree! Not a heart leaf philodendron

It’s really hard to tell just by that one leaf. It might be a New Guinea shield?
