# hello all! haven’t been on this app for awhile , my flamingo lily has…

hello all! haven’t been on this app for awhile , my flamingo lily has been recovering from root rot in water for awhile now. it’s been giving new growth points, all though there’s this dark brown stuff around the plant? is that still a sign from ongoing root rot ??

I have no idea but it look almost too symmetrical to be root rot (don’t take this as advice)

doesn’t look like rot to me either, possibly just some left over necrosis (tissue death) from the rot. spray it with some undiluted (3%) hydrogen peroxide if you’re concerned, it won’t harm the plant but will take care of any lingering bacteria or fungi

thank you ! I peeled some off and sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide ☺️
