If the weather is getting colder where you live, your rose will drop its leaves for the season. I’m not an outdoor plant expert myself, but I believe my mom piles dead leaves or straw at the base of her roses around this time to protect the rootstock over the winter. But we live somewhere fairly cold, so that might not be relevant for you

Roses go dormant in colder months to store energy for spring. The previous comment is correct that roses must be prepared for winter including protecting around it with straw/mulch. There is a lot of information online for each region.
