# Hey plant community! I have both this English Ivy and Variegated Ivy…

_Posted by Noah on 2023-10-07_

Hey plant community!

I have both this English Ivy and Variegated Ivy that have declined since purchasing a few months ago. All of my other plants are very healthy, kept in humidified air… any suggestions to achieve more growth? They get good indirect light and proper watering; planted in regular potting soil. I have not fertilized either yet.

It is important to note that the English Ivy got sunburnt during mid-summer from being too close to the window originally; since then it has not healed. That is why it looks so bare on one half. Anyway.. Suggestions?

Ugly as it is, the best thing to do about burnt growth is to leave it be and to provide as much water as possible to damaged plants. Regular deep watering along with a weekly application of a seaweed tonic (not one containing any fertiliser) helps plants to recover.
