# I've measured all the areas in my house with the Planta light meter…

I've measured all the areas in my house with the Planta light meter and I'm confused why this shows as dark. If it's a South facing window. I would expect this to be part shade, part sun since the sun splashes through the window for the first part of the day. Is the light meter not that great in Planta?

Are you referring to the little window on the door? If so the distance it is from the window and the size of the window this spot would be much too dark for this plant. I would suggest investing in a professional light meter as the light meter on the planta app relies on the light meter of your phone camera which the camera wasn’t designed for really in my opinion.

I have another window in the room next to it. Just no room to put him near it. The light is glorious in the afternoon in this spot, but not during the day. I'll find another spot! Thank you.

I don't trust the plant light feature as it pretty much does the same for mine.
