# Anyone have tips for keeping a fig tree alive indoors? I couldn’t…

Anyone have tips for keeping a fig tree alive indoors? I couldn’t resist even though I know it has no place in a NYC apartment. I tried applying a grow light but it got VERY unhappy and lost most of its leaves. I’m worried I’m just attending by its death bed at this point.

Fig trees are not afraid of bright light. They grow in full sunlight as fruiting trees. The light may have been too intense causing sunburn and dropped leaves.

It’s putting all of its energy into making that little fig just for you 💕 try plucking the present and see if it starts focusing more on leaf growth with ALL THE SUNLIGHT.
