Bought this guy one month ago from Walmart. I have yet to water it as it’s still a bit moist under the top inch. Should I be concerned?

No you shouldn’t be concerned

Nah, luckily snake plants thrive with not a lot of water—you can usually go a big distance between watering!

No I wouldn’t water it yet either. I find Walmart drenches their houseplants when they’re trying to sell them. I have waited two months before watering a big rubber plant that I bought from Walmart because it was so soaking wet when I brought it home.

Beautiful plant too BTW — standing nice and tall with wide leaves that aren’t curling in on themselves. 👌

You want to make sure the entire pot is dry before watering again. I use a knitting needle to check the moisture. It’s basically the same as the toothpick test when you bake something. If there is soil on the needle when you take it out there’s moisture and don’t need to water just yet.

I agree with everyone I would wait and not over water as this would lead to droopy leaves. I suggest maybe going with a airier soil mix If you have a tendency of over watering. I know I do! 😂
