My roommate and I work at a hardware store and she pointed me in the direction of these ladies in need of rescue. I’ve never had either of them before, so any advice is appreciated. The money tree’s root system is looking a little rough, but here’s to hoping it perks up. The alocasia has a yellowed tip on one leaf, but when I went through her root ball, I found thirteen corms. I’m going to try to sprout them. Wish me luck!

for alocasia corms i used an airtight tupperware with a paper towel at the bottom of it and just made sure to keep the paper towel moist always. and then keep the tupperware closed. they love the humidity and i have found great success with that method.

picture shows open tupperware but having it closed 90% of the time is ideal. make sure to have some open air time (no lid) so no mold or anything grows within the tupperware due to it being super humid and good conditions for that type of growth

I couldn’t link the YouTube video but I followed her steps EXACTLY and had 100% success with six corms recently. It’s so fun and easy!
