# Fist time trying to Propagate a plant. I am trying to propagates…

Fist time trying to Propagate a plant.  
I am trying to propagates starfish snake plant leaf (saw someone do this on yt). Anywho, it’s been in water for about 24hrs and the part that’s in water is turning translucent. What should I do? I’m at work rn but I can post a pick later

It’s rotting. Cut away the dead and let the wound dry and callous over for a couple of hours at least before it goes into water.

Maybe it’s not translucent but I feel like it’s getting there. And it’s very soft and jelly at the bottom. I cut it and let it Callous over for 24 hours before I put it in the water. Shouldve I let it dry out more?

i let my snake plant cuttings callous for 2-3 days before rooting them, however long it take for the wound to look sufficiently dry
